Atlanta Georgia Temple Trip

While Dan was busy with finals week, we took a trip to Georgia to see the Atlanta temple and cousins. My Tennessee sister and her husband came with us (Emily & TJ). It was over a month ago now but we had such a great time the trip deserves a post. The drive wasn't too bad. It was so nice to be a passenger and let TJ do all the driving.
Jordan only got really mad the last hour of driving.
I'm sure he was mad because he couldn't see the show.

Chris showing the kids his climbing skills.
The minute we got to Joe and Amber's house the kids were fast friends again. The cousins were so excited to show us their turf. They have a beautiful house with a great kid yard. They showed us their bedrooms, hiking trail, creek and tire swing.
We had a cook out in the back yard. The kids had a great time making a fire and cooking hot dogs. All the dropped or burnt hot dogs went to the dog.

Jordan loved the little dog Bella. She belongs to the whole block because she just showed up one day and takes turns visiting each neighbor. She seemed to be watching over Jordan. I don't think I heard her bark once while we were visiting.

Jordan settled down for a very late evening nap. Kaylee loved to help Jordan. The wind picked up at the cookout and we all smelled like smoke. We had an early time to go to the temple open house the next day so everyone needed showers. The kids watched movies and sat up very late waiting for their shower turn. I sent them all to bed when Amelia, Kaylee and Shauna were all trying to sleep on one couch. Jordan stayed up the very latest of all.

We woke up early the next morning and went to the Atlanta temple open house. The temple was beautiful and all the kids were very well behaved. It was my first time seeing the Atlanta temple so I can't compare it with how it was before. I was very impressed with how beautiful the temple was inside. It was so nice to take the kids there and watch them reverently walk through the temple.
Here are all the cousins together. We missed Josh who had to go practice for the cultural celebration.
TJ and Emily in front of the temple.

The cleanest parking lot I've ever seen. Cars hadn't even driven on it yet.
Cookies at the end of the tour.
We saw a brown bunny just before we left the house in the morning. I guess it was the Easter bunny.
Shauna finding eggs. The little kids always get to go first.
 Amelia snatching an egg.
Jordan standing up with an egg to distract him.
Josh was a 'big brother' cousin to Shauna the whole time. I never had to worry about her feeling left out.  Josh was so good to keep her included.
 Chris finding eggs.
Max looking around for eggs.
After the kids at their candy we went to the park. Jomber and kids really know how to have fun at a park. They set up obstacle courses and take turns racing through trying to get the fastest time.
Joe beat me but I'm sure it is because he went after me.
Ben is such a cool kid.
We packed up Jordan and hiked around.
Amelia accidentally fell in the stream while trying to keep her new shoes dry. Amber and I were watching her walk so carefully. I told Amber to get her camera ready because she was going to fall. Even out of focus you can tell Amelia did not want to get wet.
The picture doesn't show how wet and muddy they were.
Jordan is always so happy to be outside.
His favorite place. Hugging Mama's leg.
Here is the whole group. Except Amber who is always the one taking the pictures.
Tj and Emily went to the store and missed the hike. Then we drove home. No one felt like taking pictures on the way home. We made the trip home pretty fast because the kids were so tired.
