Cajun Shrimp Sausage & Potato Skillet

Here's another famous Dad recipe. Cajun skillet will remain a Putnam family classic despite the few who can't take the heat. We usually tag team this meal. I will chop while he gets the ingredients ready. While it's cooking, I wash all the dishes and clean up. It comes together in less than an hour but then, I usually don't pay attention to how long good food takes. Dad took the time to write out all the ingredients. Dad used this video to make it. (Thank you to the YouTuber, Tammy for this excellent recipe!)

All amounts are to taste. Just use this list for shopping and then follow the video. We usually make a gigantic amount using both our jumbo and large skillet. (Leftovers are loved at PPP!)

INGREDIENTS:

oil

russet potatoes (peeled & cubed)

salt (add after if needed because the spice blends have salt)

pepper

garlic powder

onion powder

cajun seasoning

smoked paprika

garlic & herb seasoning

adobo

cayenne pepper (less or omit for sensitive eaters)

shrimp

old bay seasoning

andouille sausage (opt for a different sausage such as kielbasa to lower the heat)

red & green bell peppers

onions (diced)

parsley
