Beautiful Girls

I really enjoy doing my girls hair. Thanks to all the great hair blogs I've found it is easy to find new styles to do. One Sunday morning Dan told me I should really take pictures of all the cute styles I do. These are some pictures I have taken while their hair still looked good. I use lots of products in their hair to make it stay but it still never looks as good after church.
Shauna really enjoys doing her own hair too. She called to me while in the tub to come look at her twisty braid. She did this all by herself. I thought it was pretty good for a three year old. My sweet sister-in-law Kara let me do her hair for her wedding. She really looked beautiful all day. Another cute style that I got a picture of. I love how I found all green rubber bands to match her dress. This was on St. Patrick's Day and we went to the children's museum and everyone kept asking how do you keep her still?
So then one crazy day - Angela (my other sister-in-law) said, "Will you cut my daughters hair?" This is the before shot. I tried on Shauna first. It was so hard to keep her still! My grocery store bought scissors did not work very well. Then my friend (that is a real hair stylist) came to the rescue and fixed it up a bit. Then she agreed to cut Ella's hair for me.
Here is the after shot. They are still beautiful girls! I love how Ella's hair has so much body and has a little curl to it. Shauna has my strait hair. I still can get some cute styles for her hair but the hardest thing to deal with is how she still wants one pony tail in the back.

Wow you're good! Will you please do my hair too?
Seriously though...how do you keep them still? Ha ha.

Christine- I use lots of things to keep them still and sometimes nothing works. Somethings I've tried are: Routine (after every bath), movies, candy, prize box, stickers and taking a picture. They also love it when people tell them how pretty they look. Your little girl is blessed with adorable curls! Enjoy that because we really have to try to get our hair to curl.
