Gingerbread House Contest

Amelia competed in a gingerbread house making contest with her online school. Here she is cutting out the dough.
Max and Shauna made a less elaborate graham cracker house.
 M&M's chimney.
Piping the icicles.
Amelia's finished castle at the contest. She made the whole thing herself, even the gingerbread.
Jordan was fascinated with the gingerbread man. Max got to take the day off of school and come too.
This is a close as he would get. He just would not take his eyes off the gingerbread man.
As part of the event we went ice skating. Shauna surprised us all at how well she could skate.
It was a really warm December so we took advantage of the great day and went to the park.
 Barefoot in December!?!
Do you see the Parthenon in the background?
 Jordan caught a fish.
Winter is the best time to play outside. No bugs.
 The spectacular Parthenon.
I was the coolest mom ever because I paid the money and let the kids visit the museum inside the Parthenon. This is the somewhat freaky looking Athena statue. Amelia had been reading the Percy Jackson books, so she told us about some of the Greek mythology.
